THE THREE KINGDOMS
We visited Nepal one year before the horrible earthquake, which make the visit even more special. We stayed in Hotel Friends Home in Thamel, which was an amazing location. Kathmandu is a place where you feel like a mountaineer, even if you just stay in your hotel all day. The place is full of those who are getting ready to start the ascent to Mount Everest Base Camp or some other hiking in Nepal. For tourists, this is mainly a transient city on the way to some serious hiking. Still there are many things to do and see in Katmandu.
